Why did you choose Travis?
We had recently sold my mom’s house in Edmonton and reached out to that Realtor for a recommendation. He recommended Travis right away. When we talked to Travis we said it would likely take time as we were looking for the right place. Travis asked questions, narrowed down the search and was patient with all the questions we had about lake living. He was always able to narrow down what we should take the time to look at, made the time to go see places of interest and gave great advice. We loved the collaboration center and the ability to see only places that checked our boxes. Travis was quick with the turnaround when we had questions and great with lake knowledge as we looked at surrounding areas.
What were you most nervous or concerned about?
We were nervous about our lack of knowledge in rural living – well water, septic tanks/fields, etc. Travis was able to provide information on the age and maintenance of the systems as we viewed the various properties.
What surprised you about the process?
That Travis always seemed to know somebody who knew the lakes or surrounding area so we always got some great insights and personal thoughts.
What was the best part of your buying experience?
Because I am very detail oriented, I LOVED the checklists! You guys were great with the timelines of when to talk to whom, what to prepare and set up prior to and during the move. So awesome!
Were there stressful moments and how were they handled?
No stress. Maybe because it’s a home away from home so no timelines/pressure on our part. And Travis was willing to drive to a few lakes to check them out and knew his stuff on water quality and changes over time. We enjoyed the process.
How did Travis guide you through the buying process, including when you made an offer?
Travis was fantastic! We felt totally comfortable with his advice on making the offer – price and inclusions. He was completely on top of the back and forth and we had our deal finalized quickly.
Would you do anything differently?
Nope!
What advice would you have for someone who is thinking of buying a home?
Make a list of must haves, nice to haves and bonus if it has and your Realtor can really save time so you don’t look at anything that won’t suit your needs.
Would you hire Travis again?
Absolutely! Travis is very personable and thorough in gathering information and answering questions. He was also accomodating to my Type A detail oriented personality at the same time as managing my husband’s quiet. laid back demeanor.
