Brad and Sarah were on the fence for a while about when the right time was to make a move, but ultimately they had outgrown their condo and needed some more space for their future family, goals and life style. The timing was very hectic, with everything else on the go, but they knew that life was only going to get busier and so it was now or never!
What were you looking for in a real estate agent and how many did you interview?
We were looking for someone who could help us understand the processes and guide us through the sale and purchase of our homes. We only went to Travis and we knew immediately that he would be able to help guide us and support us as we needed through this process.
Why did you ultimately choose Travis to be your real estate agent?
We have known Travis for a while, and Brad has previously used Travis in the purchase of the condo. We knew right away that Travis would support us, have our back during the process and help guide us to the perfect house was apparent during the first visit when we talked through the contract and helped us with staging the condo for the sale.
What were you most nervous or concerned about in the process?
We were most nervous during the sale of the condo, especially when we started getting some push back from the purchaser. And ultimately when the heating element went in the dishwasher. But we were ensured the whole time that everything was fine and it would work out. (Which it did!) We were also unsure of how long it would take to sell the condo, but happily surprised with how fast it happened!
What surprised/stood out to you about the process?
How quick everything moves – from selling the condo, to trying to find a home that is still available when we are house hunting. The market moves very fast in town and being able to try and find “the one” can be difficult when everyone else is in the same position.
What was the best part of your selling and buying experience?
The whole experience was great, being able to go and look at the houses we liked and then being able to talk it out with Travis. We felt confident and enjoyed that he would tell us his honest opinion but respect our ideas and wants.
Were there stressful moments and how were they handled?
Brad working out of town and being gone for the initial home hunt, and the rush to make sure that we had everything sorted during the short time frame that he is in town. Also the demands and strange requests from the buyers of our home. Trying to determine if it was a deal breaker for the sale or if the sale would fall through. We were able to navigate this with Travis, weighing the pros and cons and discussing what we needed to do.
How did you feel about the way your home was marketed and what stood out to you?
We felt our home was marketed perfectly. We loved the video that was made because the pictures did not do it justice. So being able to see the video really showing off our home was amazing.
How did Travis guide you through the selling/buying process, including when you received/made an offer/s?
Travis was very punctual and responded to everything that we asked. When selling the condo he would give us plenty of notice for showings and when we had concerns he answered right away. For our buying process, Travis was able to meet us and show us around many different houses and put an offer in as soon as we needed. He truly worked around the clock and on our schedule which was very helpful and amazing.
Would you do anything differently?
We wouldnt change a thing, Travis helped us navigate the whole process and supported us the whole time.
What advice do you have for someone who is thinking of selling/buying a home?
Give yourself lots of time, you don’t want to rush through it. Talk everything out, all the pros and cons. But enjoy it, its so much fun!
Would you hire Travis again? If yes, why? If no, why not?
We would definitely hire Travis again! He guided us through everything, eased our concerns and provided plenty of laughter and fun during this. He listened to us, gave his honest opinion and offered help the whole way. We couldn’t be happier with the sale of our home and the purchase of our new home.
