What were you looking for in a real estate agent and how many did you interview?
We looked for an experienced and well referenced local agent. Having purchased our last home through Travis, who was the listing agent, back in July 2018 we were confident he was our guy.
Why did you ultimately choose Travis to be your real estate agent?
Since July 2018 Travis has continued to stay connected to us, providing regular real estate market updates, hosting annual customer appreciation events, and every October he even leaves a pumpkin on my porch! Travis is knowledgeable, attentive, responsive, patient and really just an all around nice guy. He is a pleasure to deal with.
What were you most nervous or concerned about in the process?
The market changed significantly since 2018 in our experience it seems much more competitive i.e. conditioning subject to sale of home in a purchase offer is not all that common anymore and can easily knock you out of the running on a property.
What surprised/stood out to you about the process?
We had a longer negotiation time frame than expected. Travis remained stead fast and guided us to a successful outcome, at no point did we feel rushed or pressured.
What was the best part of your buying experience?
A successful negotiation, we felt the deal was fair and both parties were happy with the end result.
How did Travis guide you through the buying process, including when you made an offer/s?
Travis provided guidance, insight, options and alternatives but never pressured us. We were always in control and Travis would only action and converse anything with the seller after confirming with us.
What advice do you have for someone who is thinking of buying a home?
Hire an experienced, well referenced Realtor that you connect with. Do your research.
Would you hire Travis again? If yes, why? If no, why not?
In a heartbeat and we will continue to refer him to friends and family.
