Grant and Stephanie were spending too much time driving to and from work and wanted more time with family.
Here’s their story…
What were you looking for in a real estate agent and how many did you interview?
We listed in July and wanted to be settled in a new home before the new school year, so we were looking for a motivated realtor. I got to know Travis from ball hockey and knew soon after that he was a good choice for us. We didn’t interview any other realtors.
Why did you ultimately choose Travis to be your real estate agent?
Because he’s genuine and he’s a grinder. Like I said, we wanted a fast transition and he had no issues with that. He even did some work while he was on vacation!
What were you most nervous or concerned about the process?
Mostly concerned about our home not selling. Summer of 2023 was an odd time for us to be selling, because of the interest rate and there wasn’t a lot of inventory available. So with the tight market we were concerned about being “forced” to move into a home we didn’t love, but luckily that didn’t happen and we are now in the perfect home for our family!

What surprised/stood out to you about the process?
How easy it was. I kind of figured going in that with Travis it would be easy, but what also stood out was the extra time Travis put in to explain things in a simple way for us. We aren’t what you’d call “financially literate”. Travis made us feel comfortable asking any questions and he was really good at explaining the technicalities in an easy understandable way. Also, we sold our home in 2.5 days – that was a nice surprise!
What was the best part of your selling experience?
Probably the excitement of how quickly we were getting offers. It was an odd market time so were were very unsure about what offers we’d get, but with Travis’s marketing we got several offers right away.
Were there stressful moments and how were they handled?
We have young kids, the most stressful part of selling was having the home ready to show. We really didn’t look forward to that, but thankfully Travis sold our home very quickly so we didn’t have to deal with readying our home for showings for very long.
How did you feel about the way you’re home was marketed and what stood out to you?
We thought it looked great once it hit the market. Travis’s photographer did a great job and captured all the highlights of the house.
How did Travis guide you through the selling process, including when you received an offer/s?
Travis would get a hold of us right away as soon as he got news of an offer. For a couple of nights he was texting, emailing and calling us after the usual work hours because he knew we wanted to be informed right away. Really appreciated those “real time” updates.
Would you do anything differently?
Probably get prepped sooner and give us more time to house hunt for the next home. It did all work out great for us, but if we were to do it again, we would for sure give ourselves more than our self imposed deadline of 1.5 months to be in a new home.
What advice do you have for someone who is thinking of selling their home?

Get it prepped. Clean the clutter out. First impression is everything. And call Travis!
Would you hire Travis again?
Absolutely! So easy to work with and we felt like we were always part of the process. Travis updated us frequently and it was great to know what was going on.
